RSVP for Jungle of Ashes book launch on 5/19!

It’s time! Jungle of Ashes will be officially launching on May 19 and we’re celebrating at 7pm at the Book Bird in Avondale, GA. This event is nine years in the making! I started researching for this book in 2017 and finished the first outline in 2018. I truly thought this book would never leave my computer. Now, it’s already got more Goodreads reviews in two months of advanced readership than my debut has accumulated in three years. Someone compared it to Poisonwood Bible, which is not a compliment I ever expected. I can’t wait to share more the story and inspiration for Jungle of Ashes. I’ll get to do so with national best-selling author, Lynn Cullen! She’s one of the queens of historical fiction, and I’m so excited for the chance to talk with her about Jungle of Ashes and historical fiction. Thank you so much to The Book Bird for hosting us! It’s an honor to be one of the first authors hosted in your gorgeous new space. They have dedicated an incredible amount of shelf space to local authors. Space is the most precious commodity in a bookstore and you can judge a store’s commitment to their local community by the amount they give to local authors. I’ve been to a few bookstores in my day, and I can tell you Book Bird has made a huge investment in their local authors! Please pre-order from this wonderful, woman-owned indie bookstore. The first 30 pre-orders of Jungle of Ashes through Book Bird will get a free audio version of the book! Early reviewers are loving Caroline Hewitt’s narration.

RSVP today and join us at Book Bird on May 19 at 7pm and celebrate with us! I’ll bring the cupcakes!
